Chassis

 

Appendix C style, Le Mans , team car configuration with full windscreen, two doors, full tail fin, and rear exhaust.  

 

All aluminum monoque and body with steel E-Type (modified) front tube frame.

Chassis built by Dunford Sport and Racing Cars in Rye, East Essex, England.

 

Seats are green leather, as the original, and fitted in England.

 

Windscreen is plexiglass as original.

 

26 gal. aluminum fuel tank with filler under the headrest fairing.

 

Suspension

 

E-Type front suspension with up-rated torsion bars, adjustable sway bar, and Spax adjustable shocks.

 

E-Type rear suspension with 2 1/4" springs, A-frame radius arms, and adjustable Spax shocks.

Power-Loc E-type diff. , 3.54 ratio, completely rebuilt by Gran Trismo Jaguar (GTJ) in Perry, Ohio.

 

Front and rear suspension have adjustable ride height.

 

Brakes

 

Front; ventilated disks with 4 pot Wilwood calipers.

 

Rear; ventilated disks with series 2 Jag. calipers.

 

Emergency brake; standard E-Type.

 

Twin master cylinders.

 

Wheels and tires

 

16 X 6, all aluminum, pin drive, center lock, Dunlop style Wheels (5).

 

16 X 6.00 Dunlop Racing Tires (5).

 

Electrics

 

12 volt with Lucas alternator, and voltage regulator.

 

Wiring harness furnished by Rhode Island Wiring.

 

Electric cooling fan, turn signals, and air horns.

 

Engine

 

4.2 Jaguar E-Type, professionally rebuilt by GTJ.

 

Ported head.

 

10.5 : 1 forged pistons.

 

High pressure lubrication system with racing type oil filter.

 

Oil cooler.

 

Aluminum flywheel.

 

Twin disk clutch, and modified throw-out bearing.

 

Ceramic coated D-Type style headers and twin exhaust.

 

Triple Weber 45 DCOE carburetors.

 

Engine Dyno’d at 283 hp @ 5900 RPM, and 312 ft.lbs. Of torque @ 3500 RPM.

 

Redline 7000 RPM

 

Engine was completely rebuilt with all new components, blue printed, and balanced.

 

High performance cams from GTJ.

 

Transmission

 

All syncro, Jaguar close ratio 4 speed, rebuilt by GTJ.

 

Instruments

 

180 MPH speedo.

 

8000 RPM tach.

 

160 psi mechanical oil gauge.

 

150 C mechanical temp. gauge.

 

Speedo and tach are E-type units, rebuilt and refaced as D-Type instruments in England.

 

Oil and temp. gauges are mechanical D-Type style from England.

    

MISC.

 

Mechanical components were taken from 1965 E-Type donor car.

 

Vehicle is titled for the street as a 1965 E-Type two door.

 

Painted Spring of 2005.  Base clear coat BRG.

 

Car weighs approximately 2,000 lbs. Dry.
