1984 Lotus Esprit Turbo
One previous owner until April 2005, a 31K
mile car in great shape.
Body and paint - No signs of accident repair, front bumper mounts separating from foam filler. Some paint chips and cracking on rear spoiler (car rolled out of the garage and into another car) see photo. Some paint chips on the NACA scoops, below rear bumper and on the nose. All the paint chips have been touched up now so they are not as obvious as in the photos below. Paint is black with a light metal flake to it. Factory galvanized frame is solid with no signs of rust.
Interior – Good condition with some slight wear on the bolsters. Leather is still soft. Headliner sagging slightly see photo. Drivers side interior door handle repaired (photos are prior to being fixed)
Instruments – All gauges are in good working order.
Accessories – The antenna no longer goes up. New battery installed January 2007. AC charged July 2006, blows cold.
Glass – Excellent condition
Engine – Runs good with good oil pressure. New distributor cap, ignition wires, throttle cable, fuel pump, K&N air filter, thermostat, timing belt (July 2006), and fan belts installed. Fresh anti freeze. Carburetors rebuilt. Runs strong, a blast to drive. New fuel pressure regulator diaphram installed May 2007. Wastegate is regulating the boost pressure to approximately 7 psi. New Fuel filter and all the vapor canister lines replaced July 2007.
Transmission and Clutch – No issues. The clutch master cylinder was rebuilt Jan 2006.
Suspension and brakes – Good condition. Front and rear brake pads nearly new. New bushings installed in the sway bar. Has a smooth ride with nice responsive steering. New tires installed June 2007.
